Between packed timelines, packed trunkfulls of gear, and packed Saturdays, your energy is already in high demand – and you don’t need to spend more of it worrying about where your next couples, bookings, and revenue will come from.

I’m here to make sure you don’t have to, with a website that brings in the right couples, fills your calendar with ease, and lets you get back to doing what you love – without sacrificing every ounce of your time to get there.

Let's make sure your website protects your precious off hours.

You’re already giving up your weekends to ensure everyone else has their best day ever –

I think you deserve the same.

I’ve always been called to creative work – but before I was a Showit website designer for photographers (and other wedding professionals, of course) I spent my weekends elbow-deep in buttercream, baking and decorating custom wedding cakes to elevate each couple’s dream celebration (and eating the leftover cake scraps, obviously).

I’ve stood in your shoes – although mine were usually covered in flour and fondant – and I know exactly what it means to pour all of your energy, artistry, and time into making sure your couples feel incredibly loved and cared for.

(And weekend after weekend... after weekend, after weekend)

Hi, I’m Heather – and I want to give you the same experience you give to your couples day in and day out.

Showit website designer and former wedding cake designer!

You know, the kind of pressure you feel when you drop an entire tier of a wedding cake the night before the event and have to pull an all-nighter to fix it (true story – and of course I pulled off the fix, because we always find a way to pivot, am I right?).

There’s already enough to worry about on the day of an event (or at the time of your role in it) – you don’t need to be worrying about how you’ll book your next event, too.

When your website is working 24/7 to find, excite, delight, and book your next dream couples, you’ll have the margin to fully focus on what’s in front of you (whether it’s today’s wedding or your much-deserved time off).

Because as much as I understand the joy that comes from creating celebrations for a living, I also understand the pressure that comes with it.

Peek into my
love story
with web design

Honestly, designing websites isn’t that different from designing cakes! I still love sitting down with my clients, pulling together inspiration for their project, and translating it into a gorgeous end result – but now, I do it with files and fonts instead of fondant.

When I’m not perfectly aligning pixels and placing keywords, you can find me reading a story to my daughters or slowly, slowly working my way through a series on Disney+ and a new puzzle.

I’m still helping create the perfect day for engaged couples – by helping them find you.

Today

I loved crafting cakes, but needed a change – so I *married* (sorry!) my loves for design and data to bring myself right back to where I started: creating websites (although I have to admit, being a Showit website designer for wedding professionals is much more elegant than my poor digital cats ever were).

I came full circle and returned to my website design roots.

2023

A love for cake decorating spiraled into a full-on baking hobby, tons of tutorials purchased on Craftsy (wow, this story is dating me) and the creation of my wedding cake business. I was known for elegant fondant designs that people thought were far too perfect to actually be cake (probably because I could spend up to 6 hours on the details for each tier).

Isn't this part of every entrepreneur's origin story?

I became just a little obsessed with the art and science of monetizing a hobby.

2015

I’ve always had an eye for detail and a brain for numbers – so while the career I planned in the corporate world wasn’t my happy ending, I still find joy in tapping into the analytical side of my brain when I’m combing through keywords and website usage statistics.

I graduated from college with a degree in math – which ended up making much more sense than you’d think.

2010

Yep – my childhood fixation on the computer game Catz led to my very first experience with coding, so I could create the Calico Cattery and show my online pets (so not to brag, but I have been an award-winning website designer for over 20 years).

I designed my first website to showcase my digital cats – and yes, you read that correctly.

2000

From strategy to design to SEO, I’m committed to doing things the right way – not just the fastest way – so your website works beautifully and builds trust from the very first click.

Combine ingredients with care – and the help of a professional – and enjoy anytime.

Instructions:

– Strategic, sophisticated website design that’s both elevated and easy to use
– Thoughtfully chosen SEO keywords, to steadily build traffic over time
– Smart page layouts that prioritize both beauty and booking power
– A seamless experience, from the moment you reach out to beyond your website launch

Ingredients:

Here’s my secret recipe for a website that works as beautifully as it tastes – I mean, *looks*:

It’s not enough for a cake or your website to just look good – if the foundation isn’t carefully planned, the entire thing’s going to fall apart (and leave everyone sad and hungry).

My approach to website design is (almost strangely) similar to how I’d create the perfect wedding cake from scratch.

Work with me

Whether your post-event ritual includes drive-through Taco Bell, quickly turning around some sneak peek photos for your couple, or just kicking off your stylish-but-sensible wedding day flats and heading to bed, you deserve a website that works around the clock so you don’t have to.

At the end of the day, I think you should get to enjoy the end of your day.
